Glasbern to Host May Wine Dinner
A Look at Local Sustainable Farming
Paired with “Fine Wines of the World”

Glasbern will be hosting a “Pasture to Plate” dining experience on Friday, May 1st, 2009 at 6:30pm. Dinner will feature the farm fresh, local cuisine of Glasbern, prepared by Chef Nate Weida. Paired wines selected to complement each course will be presented by Christopher Padden.

Dinner at Glasbern, located at 2141 Pack House Rd. in Fogelsville, Pa. will begin at 6:30pm in the “Lodge”, one of Glasbern’s largest private dining facilities overlooking the pastures and ponds. Guests are invited to come by early and see where our ingredients are coming from. The farmers will be guiding walking tours at 5:30pm prior to dinner service. Making good use of the healthy alternatives afforded them, the Glasbern kitchen will be preparing five courses from the Glasbern Farm for an all inclusive ninety five dollars ($95.00) per person.

Glasbern is home to a 100 acre Pennsylvania farming operation which provides its restaurant with healthy alternatives to industrial farmed products. Glasbern raises Scottish Highland Cattle, Katahdin Sheep, Pekin Ducks, Turkeys and Pigs along with Cornish Cross & Rhode Island Red Chickens. Over three acres of Glasbern’s farmland has been devoted to vegetable gardens recently certified organic. Dinner Menus change regularly, based on the seasonal cycles of the farm. This ninety five dollar ($95.00) per person all inclusive dinner will showcase a “Taste of Pennsylvania” & the culinary styling of one of the Lehigh Valley’s premier kitchens. Glasbern is offering an additional 20% discount to all attending guests for overnight accommodations. Come enjoy a romantic stay over and dinner on the farm.

Reservations are required, and information is available by telephone: 610-285-4723
